Grenache Noir - Syrah
Appellation: Vin de France
Grapes: Grenache Noir (80%) planted in 1981 on clay limestone slopes of the Coteaux de Montfleury. Syrah (20%) planted in 1982 more on the plain near Montfleury on clay limestone.
Vinification: Double maceration for the Grenache - one week full carbo, then de-stemmed and back into stainless steel for ten more days, then pressed. Syrah (from the 2021 harvest) is de-stemmed, crushed, and put into stainless for 15 days’ maceration. Pressed, then into barrel. In October 2022, after one year in barrel, the Syrah is transferred to demi-muid where it is blended with the Grenache. They stay in demi-muid for seven months until bottling in June 2023.
Fining: No Filtering: No Added SO2: No Production: 100 cases ABV: 14.5%
